Tansy Wines was founded by Shelley Lindgren, a James Beard winner and owner of the popular Italian Bay Area A16 restaurants, and Kitty Oestlien, a technology marketing executive. The duo met in 2020 when they were collaborating on innovative ways to keep restaurants operating amid the disruption brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was during this time that they discovered shared passions in Italian wines, the Northern California countryside, and lifting up women in industry. And it is from these origins that Tansy Wines was born. Tansy adheres to an ethos of light-handed winemaking and transparency of terroir, making their wines natural and true to the land.
