Wide-angle view of Henry David Thoreau?s Walden Pond created for use in the feature film documentary, ?Henry David Thoreau: Surveyor of the Soul? (theatrical release, July 2017). Drawing was illustrated in a style replicating the look of a 19th-century lithograph.
John Roman is a regular contributor to Artists Magazine and has written for several other national art publications. Roman?s essays on Thoreau have appeared in Electrum Magazine (2021), The Bungalore Review (2019) and The Concord Saunterer (2007). A graduate of Suffolk University?s New England School of Art & Design, John has been teaching at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston since 1993.
