Elegant and age-worthy, Barolo is Italy's most sought-after Nebbiolo wine. The Barolo region is a small collection of picturesque hilltop villages which produce some of the greatest wines on Earth. The grape behind Barolo wines, Nebbiolo, is known for its strong tannins, high acidity, and intense floral aromas, making it a perfect candidate to age gracefully for a long time.
Agricola Brandini, an organic cantina run by two young and idealistic sisters (Giovanna & Serena Bagnasco) has one of the brightest brightest futures in the region. Their collection of steep, high altitude vineyard sites are poised to endure the effects of climate change with poise and grace. Their commitment to permaculture and organics is setting the bar in the region. And their winemaking talent is second to none!
This collection highlights the very best that the estate produces; their top three single vineyard wines. Each unique in its expression. You will taste the same grape and winemaking from three different vineyards & vintages. Brandini's rarest wine is also its beacon. The vineyard R56 is the family's brightest and purest light their north star; the wine that sets the tone for all others. If you like elegance and finesse, this is your wine. The celebrated Annuziata vineyard is said by the sisters to represent a perfect picture of pure elegance, fruit, flowers and soft tannins. Mission Accomplished! Finally, the Cerretta vineyard is one of the most talked about vineyard sites in the entire region; known for its stature and power. With the Bagnasco sisters softer touch it exhibits elegance rarely seen from this cru when young. This is the heartiest & spiciest wine in the range and it will stand the test of time.
