This Napa Valley Reserve - 2013 Magnum (1.5L) bottle of classic "Napa Cab" wine is grown and produced solely for the members of The Napa Valley Reserve at Meadowood. The Napa Valley Reserve is a private member club created by Bill Harlan, owner of Harlan Estate winery. With a membership of approximately 700, Napa Valley Reserve brings together people who share a passion for wine and the way of life that surrounds it. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, the Reserve's eighty-acre property is perfectly suited to a fine wine estate. This wine is never sold, and exclusively available to members only.
TASTING NOTES
Vivid, dense, ruby-red color. The wine exhibits a nose that, with airing, displays notes of cedar, truffle, espresso bean, cocoa, blackberry, cassis, and forest floor. Youthful and exuberant on entry, the broad, dense mid-palate is enveloped by supple tannins. Resulting from thicker-than-normal skins and an increased ratio of skin to juice volume, the 2013 is rich, concentrated, and fleshy with layers of complex flavors;powerful yet supple and long. A very promising wine from a great vintage with enormous longevity.
Decant for 1 and up to 4 hours if drinking now; enjoy for the next 30+ years.
