Description

"It Takes Community" 4"x4" Oil on Wood Panel, 2023

This painting was displayed at my recent show on the LES at Susan Eley Fine Art "But We've Come So Far," a two person exhibition which closed in January.

Originally hung in a grid of 20 small paintings, this painting represents my latest work in oil.

About artist Sasha Hallock

With an Iranian father and American mother, Hallock?s work combine geometric and sculptural forms, vibrant colors and odd textures. Each painting is the result of meticulous building, one line, shape, and color in relationship to the next. Hallock utilizes a unique abstract language to express themes of play, joy and faith.

A graduate of SUNY New Paltz with a concentration in painting and drawing, Hallock has participated in group shows in New York City, Hudson, NY, Kansas City, and Fort Collins, Colorado. His work is held in private collections in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, London, Tokyo, and Tehran.
