Queer Candle Co. was born in 2018 when we, the couple behind the candles, decided to take our candle-making hobby to the next level! We started out pouring a few candles every night in the kitchen of our one bedroom NYC apartment after working our day jobs - fast forward a few years, QCC has become a full time job for both of us and we?re working out of our new space in Philadelphia (though we still have a space in Brooklyn too!)
Each one of our soy wax candles is poured by hand in small batches using authentic and non-toxic fragrances. Every candle is decorated on top with a visual representation of the scent (generally herbs, but sometimes including dehydrated fruits or salt rocks)!
As a trans and queer owned business, it's important to us that our profits promote visibility and amplify the voices of members of our community - specifically the voices of QTBIPOC folks. We contribute 10% of our profits to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, an NYC based grassroots organization working to "guarantee that all people are free to self-determine gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination or violence."
This item includes a wax melter lamp and a set of wax melts in vetiver & poppy scent.
