I attempt to paint the intricate relationship between the individual and the environment, symbols and expressions, perception and emotions, fiction and reality. In this work, what formerly was a meal of fruit is now a feast for Red Flasher butterflies.
Je tente de peindre la relation complexe entre l?individu et l?environnement, le symbole et l?expression, la perception et l?émotion, la fiction et la réalité. L??uvre présente les restes d?un plat de fruits devenu le festin de papillons Panacea prola.
Item Special Note
Martin Golland has exhibited nationally and internationally, including ?Adisokamagan: We All Become Stories? at the OAG (2018) ?Human Nature? at the CUAG (2016) and the ?RBC painting Competition? at the NGC (2010). His work has been written about in numerous publications and is in public and private collections across Canada and abroad.
