Another Trip Around the Sun: 365 Days of Haiku for Children Young and Old is a prescription to nourish your soul. Your prescription is to read one haiku a day. Too often our lives are too full, too packed with things to do, places to be, problems to solve, worries and troubles to carry. We recommend that you find a way to hit the pause button, to take a time out, to stop the rush ... to find a moment of peace and quiet, to take a deep cleansing breath, to let yourself go and receive the blessings of this day, this place, this time, this moment. This is the essential gift of haiku.

My vision for this collection is for these poems to be read each day throughout the year. Read them with your child or grandchild, gift them to a friend whose children no longer live at home to spark memories from the past, or spontaneously sift through the book on a cloud-drift day. Spend time savoring each poem, share memories, or write poems together inspired by that day?s haiku.

Item Special Note
Pick up/shipping information: At auction close, item will be available for pick up in Sebastopol, CA on the designated pick up days or it can be mailed at the winning bidder?s expense.
Items are shipped via Priority Mail Flat Rate Shipping with the United States Postal Service. This item will ship in a small flat rate box (8 5/8? x 5 3/8? x 1 5/8?). The shipping cost will be $10.40 plus the cost of insurance. Winning bidder is responsible for all fees.
If more than one item is won, we will combine shipping and make the necessary shipping cost adjustment. If the items do not fit into a Flat Rate box, the best shipping option will be chosen by the auction shipping team.
For planning, note that the pick-up days are Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 from 2:00-6:00 pm, and Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 from 12:40-3:00pm at SunRidge School in Sebastopol, California.
All information and details about pick up times and location will be given in the auction closing email.
