So, why Butter?
Sasha didn?t realize how much she loved baked goods until living on her own in college, experimenting with pies, cookies, and cakes all from scratch using the essential old school ingredients: sugar, flour, and butter. She came to the realization that if she were to pursue baking as a profession, she would learn it from the best in the world, so off to Paris she went! Being on a student budget in a foreign country (basically...poor), Sasha survived off of a cheap diet of baguettes, butter, cheese and jam. This butter was unlike anything she had ever tasted!
Rich, silky, smooth, flavorful velvety texture in every bite, and it didn?t matter how much she ate because it was just so darn good. Sasha swore to herself that no matter where her culinary journey took her, she would stay true to her inner Parisian and only use high-fat European grade butter in all of her cakes, sharing a little memory of Paris with you through every bite!
Sasha and her sister Ari began their journey as cake shoppe owners when Butter opened its doors in 2015. These two sisters work closely together to bring your cake dreams to life, and after 6 years of being a part of the Los Feliz community, hundreds of unique cake creations, mentions in magazines and blogs such as Martha Stewart and Green Wedding Shoes, and an appearance on Food Network, they can't wait to see what's next and to keep the party going
