About the Artist:
Wendy Chase is a passionate advocate for those who don?t always have a voice. She took an active advocacy stance after daughter Erin?s 2018 passing of complications related to her childhood battle with Ewing?s Sarcoma. Since that time, Wendy is a graduate and group leader of the UNH Institute on Disabilities (IOD) NH Leadership Series, served two terms in the NH State Legislature (2018-2022)- and named 2021 NH Council on Developmental Disabilities Outstanding Legislator of the Year. Wendy was the 2020 cohost of ?Living and Learning with Disabilities? for Portsmouth Community Media, and in 2019 served on the NH Alliance for End of Life Options Board of Directors. Currently, she is on the Board of Directors of Advocates Building Lasting Equity (ABLE) NH, Civics and Policy facilitator at the NH Parent Leadership Training Institute, and a member of the Supported Decision-Making taskforce of the Disability Rights Center. Wendy is a lifelong NH resident, was a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) owner for 20 years, and presently resides in Laconia. Wendy is the proud mom of two, and enjoys spending free time with her new granddaughter.
