"Sydney is a Chatham native who currently resides in Boston. Each summer, she seeks to capture fond memories of growing up on the Cape where her family still resides. This year's shark features an aerial view of Outer Beach. It is made with acrylic paint, epoxy resin, and real sand collected from Outer Beach that can be seen along the shoreline if you look closely. She paints a limited number of commissions as a reprieve from long days working her day job in the emergency room at Boston Children's Hospital.
