Created by artist Steve Swain for North Chatham Outfitters, this 5' long Great White Shark is crafted from smaller fish and sharks made from cold rolled steel and has a natural patina finish.
The piece was inspired by Captain Steve's work with White Sharks off the coast of Chatham aboard his charter boat "r/v Flying Squid" where he has spent many hours up-close with these magnificent fish.
Steve has been creating works in steel that reflect his immersion in the life-aquatic and are hung in the Frying Pan Galleries in Orleans and Wellfleet that he owns with his musician wife Sarah Swain.
The patina finish will provide a protective coating on this piece and should last a lifetime outdoors or inside.
