Item Description
The Foundation for Eden Prairie Schools partners with the Eden Prairie Noon Rotary each year on My Book Day. The My Book Day event gives a brand new hard cover book to each first grader in Eden Prairie schools.
The goal of this special day for the first graders is to encourage the love of reading for a lifetime. This program supports classroom curriculum but more importantly it provides the tools and inspiration to bridge the gap into the home for continued learning and development.
This year, first graders will choose a book from the following collection of books they’ve been reading during the year:
- Number One Sam by Greg Pizzoli
- One Family by George Shannon
- The Bear Ate Your Sandwich by Julie Sarcone-Roach
- The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
- The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle
- Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
Please support My Book Day by purchasing a book for $20. Your name will be on a placard in a book presented to every first grader on April 20, 2016.
Contact Sarah Cheesman at scheesman@edenpr.org with any questions.
Item Special Note
Once you donate, you don't need to do a thing! A book will be delivered to a first grader in your name.
