Item Description
A Montessori Math Salon featuring Kiki Jewell, montessori teacher and former UMCS parent, in celebration of Pi Day!
Kiki will talk about the role esteem plays in math education, how self-esteem is harmed by traditional math education, and how to build self-esteem through math instead. Kiki will bring her drink bot (the drink serving robot she created), her Montessori album, her MOM'S Montessori album (how cool is that), offer Montessori math lessons, and provide a unique and passionate presentation about children and math. Guests will also have an opportunity to make their own math materials to use at home with their children.
This event is for 8 adults. Appetizers/dessert/drinks will be provided. All proceeds will go to UMCS.
