$200 FUND A NEED- SAFETY THIRST
MARINERS MAIN EVENT 2018 FUND-A-NEED “Safety Thirst”
Every year the Mariners Main Event presents a “Fund-A-Need.” This fund helps SLM with much needed updates to the curriculum or campus. This year’s
2018 Fund-A-Need includes 3 needs that will focus on the safety, security and
well-being of ALL of our students!
REPLACE WATER FOUNTAINS ON CAMPUS
In the continuing effort to improve & update the school, all exterior water fountains will be replaced by stainless steel fountains. The multi-use stations will offer filtered, cleaner water, allow several students to drink at once as well as includes a water bottle filling station which is a wonderful way for our children to participate in recycling.
REPLACE WINDOW BLINDS IN THE CLASSROOMS AND ART ROOM
The current blinds in the classrooms need to be updated as many are broken or do not function properly. The blinds will provide privacy, reduce glare for viewing screens, improve temperature control as well as reduce outside distractions.
UPDATE THE 5 EXTERIOR ENTRANCES TO THE SCHOOL BUILDING
As funds allow, the project will start at the Main Entrance doors and move to the doors at the SCRIP office, Daycare, Kinder, and Alley entrances.
The primary goal of the 2018 Fund-A-Need is to keep the SLM safe, secure, and
healthy for everyone.
