The Annual Encinitas Wine & Food Festival is held at the lovely San Diego Botanic Garden. Guests will stroll the Hamilton’s Children’s sampling fine wines and beverages from the region around the world, and tasting the best dishes and desserts from our local restaurants. Each year the Encinitas Rotary hosts the event to benefit 20 local charities. Encinitas Educational Foundation is one of the charities who benefits from participation. The event typically sells out with about 1000 people in attendance.
ABOUT the Encinitas Rotary Wine & Food Festival
• This outstanding event presented by the Encinitas Rotary Club, is held at the beautiful San Diego Botanic Gardens and has grown with a sellout 7 years in a row.
• Offering local food and desserts from 24+ restaurants and beverages from 16 wineries, 5 breweries, and other vendors.
• Net proceeds from the Event are divided between 19 worthy 501c3 charities. These charities fall into two categories: Those that focus on Children and those that meet a Community Need.
• Since its inception, the Encinitas Wine & Food Festival has distributed over $850,000 to our beneficiaries, with $121,647 distributed in 2014.
• Also features top musicians entertaining the crowd in the relaxed setting of the beautiful San Diego Botanic Garden.
• The Event Includes a large Silent Auction and a raffle that has over $5,000 of items.
ABOUT ENCINITAS ROTARY
The Encinitas Rotary Club was organized in 1939 ~ one of 32,000 clubs worldwide that has branches in 168 countries. Rotary has 1.2 million business and professional members. It is the largest international service organization in the world. Rotarians follow the motto, “Service Above Self” with service projects in their local communities and abroad. We address such critical issues as peace, poverty, hunger, illiteracy, water, disease and environmental concerns.
ABOUT ENCINITAS EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
Encinitas Educational Foundation is a nonprofit, 501c(3) devoted to enriching the educational experience for K-6 students in the Encinitas Union School District (EUSD). Included are nine schools located in the surrounding coastal neighborhoods of Encinitas and South Carlsbad.
By connecting Parents, Alumni, Educators, Businesses, and the Community, EEF builds partnerships and fundraising opportunities to offset school district fiscal restraints.
The goal of the Foundation is to raise awareness and find support for the many programs (like Music, Science, Technology, World Language, Environmental Educational Studies, Wellness and Physical Education, Math and Science) offered to our students with our primary focus in creating World-Ready citizens.

Item Special Note
Rotary Wine Festival will be held June 1, 2019 from 5-8 PM at the San Diego Botanical Gardens. This is a ticketless event. Your event chair will notify Encinitas Educational Foundation of the winning bidder. Your ticket confirmation will be emailed to the winning bidder the first week of May. Winner must be 21+ years to attend.
