Item Description
Nasera is a young woman attending Tagore College in Rajasthan, in the second year of her BA degree. Nasera always loved studying and worked very hard to get into the college she wanted to for further education, along with assistance from Wildlife SOS. She is an exceptional football player and loves to read books. She is proficient in Urdu and aims to become a teacher one day herself. Ever since the coronavirus pandemic, her college remained closed but she was in touch with her faculty and would often access the library.
The Kalandar community was once involved in the barbaric practice of dancing bears for sustenance and survival. Wildlife SOS has worked extensively to eradicate the practice of dancing bears from the country. Additionally, these rescued bears have been rehabilitated at our rescue centers spread across the country. We have also provided sustainable alternative livelihoods to the Kalandar community. Your contribution could lead to a bigger role in helping Nasera accomplish her goals of becoming a Teacher.
