To qualify as an American Viticultural Area (AVA), the grape-growing region must be distinguishable by geographic features -- this could be soil types, mountain ranges, or climate among other technical qualifiers.  But here in Calistoga, we don't need a text book definition to remind us why the wines we produce are uniquely special.  We've known it from the start.  It's not just the ideal soil or because we're situated between two mountain ranges that regulate the perfect temperature for our grapes.  It's more than that.  It's the people, the attention our winemakers give our vineyards and the experiences guests enjoy while they visit.  We'd like to share the Calistoga experience with you because we think you'll agree— Calistoga is uniquely wine country.

Here are 12 bottles for one lucky bidder, representative of the Calistoga AVA, generously donated by the new board of the Calistoga Winegrowers.  Enjoy!
