Item Description

"Sea Read"

A 18" X 24" original painting gifted to Ocean Futures Society by internationally known artist Ron "Rogest" Steven for our auction. This is a one of a kind original "Marine Dot Art" painting using acryllic, sand and seawater from a dive "Rogest" made in British Columbia, Canada.

About The Painting:
"The process takes about 2 months, 1st - 4 to 5 layers of base paint, 2 days to dry then the sketch on top of that, then the dots, once a dot has gone on it goes flat and then another dot goes on top of that and the 3rd dot on top of that. The last dot has the sand and salt water mixed in with it. Unlike other types of art, you can feel the texture of my art and all originals have a real connection with the Ocean . This is what takes the time a dot on a dot and the last dots when it dries constricts and the sand pokes out through the top on the paint dot.
FEEL my bumps ..................."

About The Artist:
