Item Description
Folk artist and master carver William Sarni, Hingham, MA has donated the Dowitcher shoreline decoy. Using hand tools, similar to the old decoy makers of the area, the docy is carved from native white pine and painted with acrylics.
Item Special Note
Standing 12 inches tall, the decoy is 13 inches long x 3 inches think. Bill carves and teaches deocy making in his studio overlooking the Weir River. His work is highly sought after by collector's nationwide. Bill's work was included in a grand display of Folk Art by many of the best folk artisans in MA at the Museum of Natural History, Lexington, MA.
