Ever wanted someone to write you a poem? Need a poem written for someone else, but don't quite have the words? No need to worry. Our very own Jaclyn Friedman, director of WAM!, will write you a poem on a topic of your choosing.
Friedman is known as writer, performer and activist, and the editor of Yes Means Yes: Visions of Female Sexual Power and a World Without Rape, named one of Publisher Weekly's Top 100 Books of 2009. But did you know she's also an accomplished, slam-winning poet with an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College? You can read some of her poems here, here and here.
Friedman been appeared on CNN, To The Contrary, The Brian Lehrer Show, and numerous other radio and television shows. Her commentary has appeared outlets including The Washington Post, The American Prospect, Slate's DoubleX, Bitch Magazine, AlterNet, Women's eNews, Feministing.com, and Huffington Post. She also writes a weekly column on pop culture, sexuality and sexual violence for Amplify Your Voice, a site devoted to promoting healthy sexuality for young people.
