Reviews of "Cinnamon Girl" stated:
"The captured results on "Cinnamon Girl" are not merely nostalgic, or carbon copies. Even with the weight of so much history, there's a spontaneity to these renditions on songs like "Cinnamon Girl" by Euro-Trash Girl that leads off the second disc) in which they nail Young's original, adding a shimmering sonic vibe that was made for listeners, and not for Neil Young fanatic to pick apart."
