Item Special Note

• When to Book: This package is valid from March 2010 to March 2011 (Grand opening of the hotel will be in March 2010).
• Blackout Days: This package is not valid for holidays.
• Complimentary Services: This package includes: transportation to and from airport; guided tours; local ground transportation; breakfasts; welcome drink.
• Meals: This package does not include any meals outside of the complimentary breakfast.
• Local Transport: This package does not include the $14.00 fee for the boat to and from the pier when visiting the Subterranean River National Park.
• Reservation: The winner must present TIES confirmation when making the reservation. Requested dates (subject to availability) must be approved via email (info@sheridanbeachresort.com).

Sheridan's Sustainability Initiatives

• Environmental Training: Staff receives training in environmental practices, and all managers have received external environmental awareness training.
• Energy: Electricity, gas and carbon emissions are recorded daily, and energy use minimized through the use of industrial insulation, energy saving lighting appliances, motion sensor lighting in some public areas, and key-card activated electrical systems. Shuttle service are provided for staff to and from the hotel reducing individual travel emissions.
• Water: All taps and showers are low flow with aerators. Guest rooms have a linen program to save water. Rain water is utlized to water hotel gardens. A natural water filtration program is in place to provide purified still and sparkling water.
• Waste: Paper, cardboard, glass, plastic and tins are all recycled, plus more unusual items such as batteries, sun loungers, mobile phones and printer cartridges. When ordering from suppliers, reduced packaging with recyclable materials is requested. All garden and some kitchen waste is composted.
• Eco-Activity: Sheridan's Green Team with a member from every department meets regularly to discuss the hotel's sustainable initiatives. The hotel will adopt the local Sabang beach and hold beach cleanups four times a year involving staff, guests and the local community.
• Sourcing Locally: Local suppliers and companies are used whenever possible, from food to printing brochures. Hotel staff is locally employed, and the company supports the local wildlife trust.
