Item Description

Experience a weekend of outdoor fun and adventure with an introduction to winter mountaineering with Larry Johnson. All of your expenses are paid on this three day weekend getaway for two as guests of Larry at his year-round three bedroom condominium in Bartlett, New Hampshire with a spectacular panoramic view from Attitash and the Franconia range to Mt. Washington and the Northern Peaks of the Presidential range.

Your host and guide is an experienced veteran of mountaineering and climbing on the Grand Teton, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Whitney, Denali, Joshua Tree, Red Rocks and the Shewangunks and has recently returned from a month of trekking and climbing in Nepal that included a trip to Base Camp at Mt. Everest and ascents of Gokyo Ri (17,570') and Imjtse (Island Peak) (20,300').

The weekend is scheduled for Presidents' Day weekend in February but can be changed to any other weekend in February by mutual agreement. Transportation to and from the Boston area, meals, lodging and equipment are provided.

Harnesses, mountaineering boots, crampons, ice axes and any needed technical outerwear will be supplied compliments of Larry and Margie’s friends at International Mountain Equipment and International Mountain Climbing School in North Conway, New Hampshire a leading supplier of mountaineering gear and instruction in all aspects of rock and ice climbing and mountaineering.
