Item Description

This luxurious opal and diamond ring is the perfect way to accent your wardrobe with some Aussie flair. The brilliant blue-green flash compliments every outfit and skintone, and is a must have for 2010.

This beautiful opal is from the Coober Pedy Mining Area in Southern Australia. Coober Pedy, originally known as Stuart's Range field, is the largest supplier of opal in the world. Situated some one thousand kilometers north of Adelaide, it is home to about 5,000 people, who directly or indirectly make a living from the success of the town's opal miners, and the nearly 100,000 tourists who call in each year to marvel at what is still regarded as the last frontier of Australia's wild outback.
