What happens when you put the fabulous cuisine of Chef Cindy Pawlcyn together with Cabernet Franc from Lang & Reed Wine Company? The most sublime culinary experience imaginable!
John and Tracey Skupny, proprietors and winemaker of Lang & Reed, will host you and three guests on a culinary adventure to Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen in St. Helena California, where you will experience inspired food creations of renowned chef Cindy Pawlcyn exquisitely paired with classic wines made solely from that charming grape called Cabernet Franc. Inspired by the beautiful Cabernet Franc wines from the famous Loire Valley, the Skupnys will show their best in a line-up of their favorites from Loire Valley producers Bernard Baudry and Charles Jouget. To add to the fun of the evening, son and daughter-in-law, Reed and Megan Skupny, will join in the celebration, sharing their stories of Loire Valley life in the provincial town of Chinon where they lived while Reed worked for the Baudry family during the harvest of 2008.
The Skupnys founded Lang & Reed Wine Company in 1996, naming their wines after their sons Jerzy Lang and J. Reed. Recognized as pioneers in the crafting of wines produced solely from Cabernet Franc, Lang & Reed wines have put this distinctive varietal on the map.
The lot also includes three magnums signed by the proprietors, a sampling of their Cabernet Francs:
