Item Description
Gabrielle Civetta is an 11 year old girl who comes from a long line of U.S. military personnel, going back as far as a 5th Great-Grandfather who fought in the war of 1812, right up to her Dad, who served in Operation Desert Storm and now this year her cousin, who joined the Army on Feb. 9th. Gabrielle’s Mother taught her and her younger brother Christopher to thank military personnel for their service whenever they saw them. At seven years old, Gabrielle was introduced to Homes for Our Troops by her Grandmother and with her help, Gabrielle started making the red, white and blue bracelets, each with a small pewter house charm. She then began selling them to family, friends, neighbors, and at the local Memorial Day Parade. Gabrielle has raised over $1,420.00 for Homes for Our Troops and she continues to make and sell her bracelets in support of this wonderful organization. In 2008 Gabrielle was awarded the Kids for Our Troops Appreciation Award
