LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN
Ludwig van Beethoven is perhaps the best known composer of the Classical-Romantic period of the early 19th Century Western music. He is now best known to Broadway theatre lovers for his appearance in the 2009 hit play, 33 Variations. Our Bear-hoven is wearing a lined black velvet frock with a black satin collar over his dark navy jacquard silk waist coat. Under that is a white shirt with collar and stylish ruffled wrists. The brown-toned tweed wool trousers have a double-sided fly which is typical of the era. His simple shoes are made with black leather, while his avocado green scarf is stamped with a gold form throughout. The final touch is a reduced version of the original manuscript taken from an archival web-site. Look for the #33 in the lower part of the manuscript. Music to our ears!
