Item Special Note
Scott French is an Atlanta born artist. His artistic studies began at age 20 when he started drawing the many colorful caricatures that inhabited the New Orleans' jazz clubs he played frequently. Scott continued to draw and paint both independently and with artists Martin Dawe, Craige Nelson, Thomas S. Buechner and Milt Kobayashi. He studied painting at Georgia State University, Portfolio Center and workshops at the Scottsdale Artist School, Arizona. His drawings capture of the essence of the moment and the underlying energy of the individual. Scott's interpretation of the figure is also in form, he finds inspiration through its beauty and translates it through line and color. Scott is represented by the Lovetts Gallery in Tulsa, OK and the Cameo Gallery in Columbia, SC.
