Judy Lampert began her photographic career in the mid-90s at age 38. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and her work has been collected throughout the South. Judy's subtle and personal approach to photography conveys a deep respect and honor for the individuals that she portrays. Her photographs reveal an engagement that reaches beyond mere portraiture and photojournalism to divulge a deep sense of observation and commentary on the beauty of ritual and the extended family that form the core of her work. Most recently her work has been of home, houses and other images taken while driving through the south. Born in Homestead, Florida in 1952, Lampert has spent most of her life in the South.
