Costumed Teddy Bears
Item Description
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN
2007
IGOR
“It’s pronounced ‘Eye-gore!” Though this delightfully bug-eyed bear is clearly inspired by Marty Feldman’s original from Mel Brooks’ film, in Brooks’ 2008 Broadway musical, the gifted singing comic Christopher Fitzgerald put his own spin on Dr. Frankenstein’s “devoted” hunchbacked assistant. The costume includes multiple pieces for different looks, starting with his basic upscale goth looking undergarments and shirt, both made up of black tights, and his black cashmere wool felt tunic accented with a black leatherette belt. Whether working indoors in the lab or out in a commonly occurring Transylvania rain storm Igor is ready with either his white linen lab coat or his smart looking yellow nylon ripstop raincoat, complete with hat. He is topped with a black cotton capuchin complete with liripipe. He stands firmly in his stylish black boots constructed from child size Ugg knock offs. Talk about Putting on the Ritz!
