We are talking serious bragging rights here. Let’s be honest, sometimes we spend what we do on wine for the simple pleasure of the hush that falls over the guests at your dinner party when they register the rare label you just set on the table. Imagine the rush you’ll get offering friends and fellow connoisseurs a sip of your one-of-a-kind, personally blended cuvee that originates from wines made by legendary winemakers, and Young School parents, Bob Levy and Martha McClellan. Bob and Martha will host you at their home where you will roll up your sleeves, taste, swirl and spit and with their gentle assistance, bring to life a wine of your very own making. The grapes come from their private family vineyard and the barrel lots selected for blending amongst those that are used to make their own wines. Three couples will be able to experience the art of blending first hand, creating the wine of their dreams. Each couple will receive a case and a magnum of their own exquisite cuvee for their private cellar, once the wine has been bottled (at a later date). After the blending session, in celebration of a work well done, you will sip wine from Bob and Martha’s cellar, savor light appetizers and share in the bliss of expectation for the bottled elixir yet to come.
If used before May, the blend will be made from wine lots from the infamous 2007 vintage. Dates later than May, the base blending wine will stem from the outstanding 2008 vintage.
Item Special Note
Black out dates will be from Sept. - Nov 2010. Event to be used before December 31, 2010. Bottling will take place at the discretion and timing of the winery. Shipping to be coordinated by The Young School and charged to the winning bidder. Local deliveries can be provided at no charge within 30 miles of St. Helena, CA.
