Spanning from the trenches of the marble quarries with Michelangelo to the expanding frontiers of America, the Legacy of the Ghiglieri name continues in the prodigious sculpture and painter Laran Ghiglieri. • Laran was born into a family of artists, and undoubtedly inherited the creative streak. He began designing and creating master works of art at the tender age of 11. Later, under the guidance of his father - world famous master sculptor Lorenzo Ghiglieri - Laran collaborated, created and co-produced hundreds of paintings and sculptures. By the time he was 19 years old, his sculptures had already surpassed the $60,000 mark in terms of individual selling price. • Ghiglieri sculptures herald the edifice of the NYSE, the Vatican, The Smithsonian, The U.S. House of Representatives, The Royal Palace in Spain, and have been presented to many dignitaries and to thousands of collectors including his Holiness Pope John Paul II, the King of Spain, former Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev, Al Gore, George Bush, Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods, and General Norman Schwarzkopf . Ghiglieri sculptures also adorn the permanent collection in the White House and include the official bronze eagle of the United States. • Laran has cultivated a fast growing following, and has contributed to many spectacular monuments in the U.S., including one of the world's largest: a bronze eagle, standing over 33 feet tall and weighing 14 tons. • His unique and creative spirit does more than complement his family’s legacy of skill and craftsmanship.
