CASSIE
She walks into a room and you know from her maddening poise, effortless whirl, she’s a special girl. Donna McKechnie took home a Tony Award for her performance in the 1975 Pulitzer Prize winning musical and was even featured on the cover of Newsweek magazine. Our Cassie bear has been lovingly twisted, turned, tucked, trimmed, wired and lengthened to recreate that legendary cover pose. Her costume is a petite replica of that simple yet iconic, red knit leotard and wrap skirt designed by Theoni V. Aldredge (Tony Nomination). Cassie’s hair is styled in those signature waves sported by Ms. McKechnie and to keep her on her toes, a pair of soft kid leather character shoes were custom made making her ready for the chance to dance for you. She’s most definitely the ONE!
