VELMA KELLY
What becomes a legend most? For Chita Rivera, it’s anything that shows off those legs, even in teddy bear form! This slinky number shows Chita in one of her greatest roles, cell-block schemer “Velma Kelly” from the finale of Bob Fosse’s original production of Chicago, which featured another incomparable Fosse dancer, Gwen Verdon as “Roxie.” “Razzle Dazzle” from her sequined shoes to her silver top hat with sequined trim, Velma’s outfit features a white fringe skirt with sequin band, white jacket with stain labels and even a bouquet or roses from one of her adoring fans. Fish-net stockings and a lotta exposed leg help the Vaudeville headliner “Keep it Hot.”
