LIEUT.  OSBORNE

You can almost see our small soldier marching off to war in his authentic replica military uniform.  The uniform jacket and pants are made from imported green heathered wool and both feature brass buttons.  The three-button jacket has four patch pockets and our bear’s regiment’s insignia is positioned on the right sleeve.  Over the jacket is Lieut. Osborne’s signature sleeveless jacket made of soft brown leather with buttons that evoke the official “Doughboy” helmut the soldiers wore.  Underneath it all is the official khaki oxford shirt and matching tie.  Our brave bear also wears British style wool wrap leggings, known as puttees, which were adopted by American troops because the canvas leggings normally worn were impractical in the muddy trenches.  The pants are tucked into shiny black leather boots which complete the official look.
