Each year, UMPS CARE Charities visits children's hospitals around the country, assisted by the local team's mascot and bearing a full Build-A-Bear® Workshop. The goal? Smiles, laughs, and time for the kids to forget their illnesses.
It's a day like no other, and you can be part of it. The winning bidder will assist Wally the Green Monster and a set of umpires as they cheer up the patients at the Boston children's hospital. You'll be Wally's special helper as he brings his unique brand of fun into the lives of the young patients to give them a much-needed diversion from medical tests, doctors, and nurses. By getting the rare opportunity to see just where the money you bid goes, you'll see the joy Wally, the umps, and you bring to the faces of the children. There's no greater feeling than that.
Included with the package is a pair of tickets to that night's Boston Red Sox game, where you can watch Wally bring thousands of fans to life. Only you will know that his "matinee" appearance for mere dozens was even more important and impressive ... and that you helped.
Item Special Note
Conditions of Sale
- Please note, only the winning bidder (total 1 person) is permitted to attend the hospital event. No exceptions.
- Winning bidder must be 21+ years of age and in good health at the time of the event.
- For scheduling considerations, the winning bidder should live within a one-hour drive of Fenway Park. There are times when a scheduled event must be postponed on short notice, e.g., rainout the night before causing changes to the scheduled start the following day.
- Due to the unique nature of each item, all sales are final.
- Hospital event will take place on the date scheduled by UMPS CARE Charities. Will take place on a weekday between April-September.
- Exeperience does not include travel and hotel expenses; those are the responsibility of the winner.
