Bid now and win a scholarship to attend your choice of the International Umpires Camp or the Southern Umpires Camp. These elite camps take place at historic Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, and are the perfect next step for any aspiring umpire.
The International Umpires Camp takes place in October 2010 and is designed as an advanced camp to improve and enhance the umpiring skills of the experienced Youth, Legion, AABC, Recreation, High School, or Collegiate umpire. The purpose of this advanced camp is to emphasize umpiring skills not covered in other camps, along with enhanced coverage of the three-man system. College, High School, and summer youth programs utilize the three-man system, and this camp will improve your umpiring skills and your goals for your umpiring career. Videotape critiques and viewing rooms will offered at the camp.
The Southern Umpires Camp takes place in February 2011 and is designed for the beginning or experienced amateur umpire who is not necessarily looking for a career in professional or collegiate baseball. However, the camp is proud of its outstanding student credentials in this area, with over 75 graduates entering into major college baseball. In addition, over 60 graduates have earned jobs in professional baseball after attending professional umpire schools, including AAA umpires Kevin Causey, Michael Estabrook and Dusty Dellinger.
