Item Description

Everett Hibbard (1909-1998)

You are bidding on a signed and numbered print of "Pronghorn Antelope" by Everett Hibbard.

Everett Hibbard worked for National/DC Comics in the 1940's, where he signed his art as E.E. Hibbard.  He is best known as one of the "Golden Age" Flash artists.  Hibbard retired from comics in 1947 and went to work as a studio artist and sketch man for J. Walter Thompson in TV and print media.  He also became a well-known animal painter and was a member of the Society of Animal Artists.

Hibbard is one of the few animal artists who integrated the vitality of recent movements in Contemporary American art into paintings dealing with animal subjects.
