Item Description
This commanding 15" heavy obilisque was crafted by Lawry Swidler, glass artist, who began his career as an apprentice in 1982. Swidler attended the Pilchuck School in Washington State and was a teaching assistant to the Italian Master, Loredano Rosin.
Swidler's work is scuptural, with pieces formed from molten glass, freehand, and on the pipe and it has been exhibited throughout the U.S. and internationally.
