Item Description
Hennig Dyes wall sconce made of Costa Rican pine from Illuminee.
Hennig Dyes, 70 years old, is a third generation Costa Rican of German decent. He began designing and building wooden lamps as a hobby and has been in business for the last 16 years. His concepts are based on designs he originally saw out of Norway in the 1960s. The lamps are made from plantation pine, which is wood that is grown exclusively for the purpose of harvest at 8,000 feet in the Costa Rican Highlands. It is much like a hardwood and very translucent when cut very thin.
