Item Description

The lines on the chairs have been created from one surface plane with varying line thicknesses in a random pattern that were projected onto the surface of the chair.  This has created only one correct viewing orientation where all of the lines can be seen as being straight.  All other views of the chair start to obstruct these straight lines making them appear like curved lines.

About the Artist:

Dennis Knoff and Josh Hendershot are seniors at the University of Michigan working on their Bachelor of Science in Architecture. They chose the intriguing idea of anamorphic projection as a theme for their chair.

Art Piece Specs:

This Adirondack chair is finely crafted from cedar and weighs less than 20 lbs.  The chair sits at 34.5" x 28.35" x 35.5". 

All items must be picked up either at the live auction on April 17th or at Midland Area Homes within 1 week of the close of the auction.
