Item Description
The winning bidder will receive two (2) reserve tickets to the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet for Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis. Seats 5 & 6 in Orchestra Section R, Row X.
Described by The New York Times as “A breath of fresh air,” Aspen Santa Fe Ballet stands out as a model of what a small ballet company should be. Its versatile and gifted troupe of 12 young dancers will perform a revival of Twyla Tharps’ “Sue’s Leg,” her 1975 tribute to the music of Fats Waller--a piece The Minneapolis Tribune described as having, “a floppy, detached style that at first looks improvised as dancers run into each other, until you see at last how complexly and delicately the work has been made.”
“It’s a class act, a classic act, and an extraordinarily engaging act: it’s the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet.”
—The New York Post
