This one-of-a-kind mosaic of Chef Mike Lata of FIG restaurant and founding member of Slow Food Charleston is one in the series of those created by the students of The School of the Arts (SOTA) under leadership and artistic direction of David Boatwright and teacher Ben Moore. Each piece of rice and each bean was hand applied by students and took weeks to complete. The project, organized and funded by Louie’s Kids and Slow Food Charleston, is a true labor of love by many. The mosaic is a collector’s piece for any food and wine lover.
