From the more moderate 75 degrees, ideal for aquatic activity, to the 95 degree waters where guests prefer to linger, the pools beckon. In the immediate area are about 800 preserved period buildings, offering a view of Miami's interpretation of the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 1930s. Lincoln Road, with its wealth of shops, cafes and restaurants, is only a few blocks away. Built in the 1920s, it became one of the country's first pedestrian malls in the 1960s and has a life and vitality all its own. Also within strolling distance is a wide-range of fine restaurants. The famous South Beach nightlife begins on Lincoln Road and extends as far as the imagination will take you.
