Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon, the longest running musical revue in theatre history, is a zany musical spoof of pop culture with extravagant costumes and outrageously huge hats. Now in its 35th year of sold-out performances, Beach Blanket Babylon (BBB) is an internationally acclaimed San Francisco institution. With more than 12,000 performances in San Francisco, the show has performed for standing room only during its London and Las Vegas engagements. BBB continually evolves in its hilarious parodies of current events and popular icons as todays headlines unfold.
What only locals may know, however, is that Marin School of the Arts has a special relationship with BBB: For each of the past two years, our students have won a coveted Steve Silver Foundation & Beach Blanket Babylon "Scholarship for the Arts." Dedicated to giving Bay Area high school seniors the opportunity to pursue an education in the performing arts, these $10,000 scholarships have recently been awarded to MSA grads Niki Printz (Vocal Music, 2009) and Shaylin Hoyle (Theater Arts, 2008).
Item Special Note
Two Tickets are valid from April 2010 through September 2010 in the Rear Cabaret or Rear Balcony section for the following performances; Wed. or Thurs. at 8 pm; Fri. at 6:30pm; Sun. at 2pm or 5pm.
Unless you are attending the Sunday performances, everyone in your party must be 21 years of age or older and be prepared to present a valid government-issued picture ID. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
To assure you can attend the performance of your choice, item winner must call the Box Office a few weeks in advance of preferred dates with 1st and 2nd choices.
