Item Description
A signed and numbered (728/950) print, Charge through the Peach Orchard by John Paul Strain. This amazing print is beautifully framed in a dark wood with gray, metal braces on the corners. Doubled matted in colonial blue and red, with unique cut out stars in the corners. The effect is stunning. Slightly wrinkled along the bottom due to minor water damage, on the matting only. Ultra-violet blocking reflection control glass made by True Vue. Image size: 21 1/2" X 28", framed size: 33"X38"
On April 6, 1862, the Federal Army defending the Peach Orchard at Shiloh were under orders to hold at all cost. the Confederates had tried in vain, with heavy losses, four times previously to take the Peach Orchard.
