Item Description
Join Mike Frederick for a day hike through the Middlesex Fells Reservation and Spot Pond Archeological District. He is experienced with the history and landscape of the region.
The hike is approximately 4.5 hours long on the beautiful rock circuit trail. 3.7 miles. Much of the trail traverses rocky outcrops in this corner of the park, providing a variety of scenic views, including views of Boston.
The trail was mentioned in the August 2005 issue of Fitness Magazine on page 24 as number 3 in a list of top 10 hiking trails from the American Hiking Society and Aspen Edge.
Lunch provided for up to 5 people.
A visit to nearby Spot Pond Archeological District is optional. The area is a site where mill activity took place for over 150 years. This site, also known as Virginia Wood, was the first land trust deeded to the Trustees of Reservations, founded 1891.
