Item Description

This is an awesome children's event led by video creative artist Peter Swehla to instruct your children's group of ten in the technology of producing a Lego-animation video. At the end of the day, your child will be the lead producer of an original DVD in this exciting medium. The event will be hosted by the prestigious Kenwood School, whose state-of-the-art computer lab is the envy of all others in Sonoma Valley. In fact Superintendent Bob Bales is placing his imprimateur on this event to guarantee the highest quality educational value of this prized event.

Peter is experieced in teaching this technology to children and he keeps the students mesmerized as they learn real techniques of video production, including storyboard creation, stage setting of lego characters and vehicles and filming the action by progressive stills. Typically the children will work in pairs to create their own videos. Peter and Kenwood School will supply all the legos, camera gear and computers....the kids just show up. Parents are welcome to watch... and be prepared to be impressed. (The writer of this review witnessed his own nine year old in Peter's class and was thrilled with the experience.)

This item could be the cornerstone of the most awesome child's birthday party in history. Ideal for children age 6 through 13.

Item Special Note

The successful bidder will schedule the class with Peter Swehla, who will perform the coordination with Kenwood School. Peter can be contacted at psswehla@sbcglobal.net

The best time for the class will be an afternoon, in the spring or the fall.  However, there is flexibility in the schedules of the Kenwood School and with the instructor; the outcome date will be arranged at the mutual convenience of Peter, Kenwood School and the high bidder.

The event itself will have a time extent of two to three hours, based upon mutually agreed determinations of Peter and the successful bidder.
