As a child I loved to collect precious trinkets and objects that I would save and cherish over time. The discovery of a bead shop in Covent Garden during an extended stay in London rekindled my childhood fascination, and was my ultimate inspiration to design and produce my own jewelry line. Classic and elegant, each piece in the Max B. Designs collection reflects a love of unique shapes, textures and colors. Careful attention is paid to quality, function and design detail, ensuring each timeless piece will last a lifetime. Born and raised in New Jersey, but a New Yorker for the past 16 years, Maxine Friedman designs and creates each piece in her Max B. Jewelry Collection by hand, in her NYC studio. She is influenced by the raw materials she utilizes to make her jewelry; sterling and fine silver, 14K and 18K gold. Her designs accentuate the natural characteristics and qualities of the metal resulting in pieces with an organic texture and finish, giving each piece its own unique character. She is inspired by nature, fashion, and most often her husband and her twin daughters, who enable her imagination and show her everyday that anything is possible.
